Why We Do What We Do

FarCloser Travel started with a simple idea: What if families could travel in a way that brings them closer—not just to each other, but to the world around them?

It all began with a trip to Venezuela for a family wedding. We were welcomed with open arms, guided by locals, and immersed in traditions that opened our eyes to a different way of life. That experience stayed with us, planting the seed for what would eventually become FarCloser Travel.

Later, trying to plan a similar trip to Vietnam highlighted just how hard it can be to find authentic, family-friendly experiences without a trusted local guide. The frustration of endless research and unreliable options made it clear: Families need an easier way to connect with local experts who truly understand their needs.
